Seven Principles of Kwanzaa: DAY TWO: Kujichagulia #KWANZAA

Via Scoop.itTransmedia Thought Leadership

The Kwanzaa principle of Kujichagulia focuses on self-identity and self-determination. Learn about the principles of Kwanzaa in this free holiday celebration video from an authority on Kwanzaa…   Hi, I’m Masequa Myers and we will talk about the second day of Kwanzaa and the second principle of Kwanzaa. Kujichagulia, self-determination. And each time we say a principle and light a principle, all those who are in attendance say it back. So I would say, “kujichagulia.” You would say, “kujichagulia.” I would say the English definition, “self-determination.” And you would say, “self-determination” back to me. The definition of kujichagulia is to define ourselves, speak for ourselves and create for ourselves and name ourselves, instead of being spoken for by others. Kujichagulia. And in our next clip, we will talk about the third day of Kwanzaa and the third principle of Kwanzaa.   KwanzaaTikeDefinition of OfDefinitionThe Principles of KwanzaaKwanzaa Candle Holder   Related Articles & Videos Seven Principles of Kwanzaa: Imani Seven Principles of Kwanzaa: Kuumba Seven Principles of Kwanzaa: Nia Seven Principles of Kwanzaa: Ujamaa Seven Principles of Kwanzaa: Umoja   Read more: Video: Seven Principles of Kwanzaa: Kujichagulia | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/video_2370480_seven-principles-kwanzaa-kujichagulia.html#ixzz1hhdwmvTm

UNITE MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Here we are on distant shores

Searching for love ones lost

Knowing their pain and suffering

Was an ocean of love lost.

Cant you see the sun is shining

Bringing energies of love all

Come my people unite together

Wake up stand up be the love for all

The bells are ringing it is time

To answer the call of one

Get together my brothers and sisters

It’s time you must unite as one

You must unite as one

Hold together brothers and sisters
