WCN Announces the Launch of “K.N.O.W.” KNOWLEDGE NETWORK OFFERING WISDOM For Athletes

Via Scoop.itToday’s Transmedia Sports

K.N.O.W. LLC   Founded in 2009 by business, athletic and financial experts, K.N.O.W, LLC is a support management, one-stop consulting firm of experts dedicated to providing services to the athletic industry. A network of highly skilled consultants provide necessary services (knowledge, skills and wisdom) to young professionals selected into the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), and for any other professionals requiring the need for such services.   @wcntv Commentary: As a new writer for Sports Life Magazine and a personal associate of K.N.O.W. President Monica Morton, I am happy to report the launch of this new venture. This important organization is most likely the first Consultancy of its kind for Sports Athletes and most importantly, their families. My People perish from a lack of knowledge “Hosea 4:6″, says the good book and it is that lack of knowledge we hear with story after story of Athletes going broke after their short careers in professional sports.   This powerful consulting firm has been created to educate and provide the tools necessary at the NCAA Level to make sure Athletes are equipped with the life skills needed long after the lights at arenas and careers begin to dim. Any Athlete, anywhere in the world should Follow, Tweet and Share to get this information into the hands of the Sports Community at large.   Stay tuned to WCN and read more at http://www.knowllc.net. And, if you don’t “know” K.N.O.W LLC, now you do! Right from the start: Protect yourself, your earning potential and, of course, your future.

Today’s Transmedia Woman is Arianna Huffington @ariannahuff

WCNTV Commentary:Today’s Transmedia Women selects Arianana Huffington and the Huffington Post for inspiring me 11 months ago to become a blogger.  First the WCN Transmedia Brandcasting Report to spread the word about monetizing Streaming Video and killing the 30 Second Commercial and Pre-rolls on the web.  But now Today’s Transmedia Women to provide a voice and better Customer Experience for Women at large.  Mostly as a Father having watched Miss Representation on OWN I had two choices remain quiet and join the Boys Club or think of my daugthers and the type of world I want to live in and leave them.  So Today’s Transmedia Women is a new publication that embraces the tenants of Transmedia Storytelling and Transmedia Brandcasting.  Its Hyper Cool, Hyper Transparent and so Cool and Transparent that you can recommend it to others.  Thanks Arianna for inspiring these publictions.  P.S. Would love to work with you to find the Top 10 Transmedia Women of 2011/2012 and profile them in both our publications.  That would be a honor.  Jay O’Conner Chairman & CEO WCNTV.

Arianna Huffington is the president and editor-in-chief of the AOL Huffington Post Media Group, a nationally syndicated columnist, and author of thirteen books.   In May 2005, she launched The Huffington Post, a news and blog site that quickly became one of the most widely-read, linked to, and frequently-cited media brands on the Internet. In 2006, and again in 2011, she was named to the Time 100, Time Magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people.

Originally from Greece, she moved to England when she was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an M.A. in economics. At 21, she became president of the famed debating society, the Cambridge Union.

Her books are:

* “Third World America: How Our Politicians Are Abandoning the Middle Class and Betraying the American Dream” was published in 2010.

* “Right Is Wrong: How the Lunatic Fringe Hijacked America, Shredded the Constitution, and Made Us All Less Safe” was published in 2008. Both a withering indictment and a hopeful call to arms, “Right Is Wrong” makes the case that America has been hijacked from within by the “lunatic fringe” of the Right that has taken over the Republican Party –- enabled by a compliant media that act as if there is no such thing as truth and are more interested in cozying up to those in power than in holding them accountable.

* “On Becoming Fearless….in Love, Work and Life” is Huffington’s most personal book to date, offering a road map for achieving fearlessness in every aspect of life, a straight-to the point manifesto on how to be bold, how to say what needs to be said and do what needs to be done in order to find the freedom to love, lead and succeed.

* “Fanatics and Fools: The Game Plan for Winning Back America”, offers a scathing portrait of our contemporary political landscape with a bold, inspiring and practical approach to restoring America to the promise envisioned by our greatest leaders. It was published in 2004.

* “Pigs at the Trough: How Corporate Greed and Political Corruption are Undermining America,” a New York Times bestseller, was published in 2003. * “How to Overthrow the Government,” on the corruption of our political system and the need for reform, was published in 2000.

* “Greetings from the Lincoln Bedroom,” a political satire, was published in 1998.

* “The Fourth Instinct,” on the longing for meaning in a secular world, was published in 1994.

* “Picasso: Creator and Destroyer,” a biography of Pablo Picasso was published in 1988. It was a major international bestseller, translated into 16 languages. The book was made into a film starring Anthony Hopkins as Picasso and produced by Merchant-Ivory for Warner Bros.

* “The Gods of Greece,” celebrates the power of myths as guides to forgotten dimensions of life and ourselves. Atlantic Monthly Press republished it with paintings by Françoise Gilot

* “The Woman behind the Legend,” published in 1981, a biography of Maria Callas quickly became an international bestseller.   * “After Reason,” on political leadership and the intersection of politics and culture was published in 1978.

* “The Female Woman,” on the changing roles of women, was published in 1974 by Random House and translated into 11 languages.   Huffington has made guest appearances on numerous television shows, including “Charlie Rose,” “Oprah,” “Nightline,” “Real Time with Bill Maher,” “Hardball,” “Good Morning America,” the “Today” show, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” and “The O’Reilly Factor.”   She serves on several boards that promote community solutions to social problems, including A Place Called Home, which works with at-risk children in South Central Los Angeles. She also serves on the board of EL PAÍS and the Committee to Protect Journalists. Show full bio

This Blog is dedicated to my Daughters whom I love with all my heart.  As we venture to make a difference in Media its clear there is a system of marginalizing Women’s Role in Today’s Media.

Transmedia StoryTelling provides a unique opportunity for a Hyper Cool, Hyper Transparent look at the issues that were introduced by Miss Represented on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

As a Dad and a media executive I felt it important to create a place to get the information and facts I need to make sure that World Colours Network Television gains and maintains its core audience.

Equal Pay for Equal Performance, only make sense and opening the doors to a higher level of thinking and more important communication to exchange dialog, ideas and yes even criticism should we get off tract.

So I dedicate this Blog to All Women and especially those women in my life that have helped me along the way.

We can and will do it better seeking your voice along the way.  Please make this your blog and post comments articles and if you would like to be a regular Citizen Journalist we hope as this matures you will consider telling your story here on this blog.
